Hi Newsletter Subscribers,
You already know guesting gets you exposure. But what if you could take it further — borrowing another show's audience directly into your feed?
That's the idea behind feed drops. And they're one of the most overlooked growth tactics in podcasting.
It's when one show publishes an episode from another show into their own podcast feed. Instead of a 30-second promo, listeners get the full experience of your content.
Why it works: A feed drop feels like a trusted friend recommending a show — because it literally is. Listeners who already trust that host are far more likely to give you a try.
👉 Data point: shows using feed drops have seen 10–40× more conversions than promo clips.

How to Do a Feed Drop in 4 Steps
- Pick the Right Partner
- Look for a podcast in your niche or with overlapping audiences.
- Bonus: they don't have to be the same size. A smaller, loyal show can be just as powerful.
- Choose the Right Episode
- Pick your most self-contained, value-packed episode.
- Avoid overly newsy or time-sensitive content — evergreen works best.
- Record a Personal Intro
- Have the host record a 30-second intro like:
“Today we're dropping a special episode from [Your Show]. I loved their take on [topic], and I think you will too.”
- Authentic endorsement is key.
- Make it Mutual (Optional)
- Do a swap: you drop one of their episodes in your feed, they drop one of yours.
- Now you both reach new listeners without extra recording.
Make a list of 3 shows you could partner with. Reach out and suggest a feed swap. Offer to handle the tech and provide ready-to-use files.
Not sure who to swap with?
Post in the Facebook group — you might find the perfect partner in minutes. Just make sure to include the #collab tag in your post and look for others looking to do the same thing. Keep in mind you can always try to contact people the cold way. This is exactly the kind of collaboration we stand behind, and why the group and the membership exist so don't be afraid to reach out!
Members: remember you can tag your feed drop partners in your Club listing. That backlink builds both visibility and credibility in the database. And if you are open to the prospect, why not post in the episodes feature to enhance your visibility for collaborations!
