About Me:
I'm a leadership coach, keynote speaker, and creative writer.
I believe in the gift of a great question, the unique power of stories, and that moving forward is more about the pull than the push - but both matter.
- I'm keenly interested in helping people (re)discover their sense of joy, creativity, and unique leadership voice in a time when such things are easily tamped down, lost, or undervalued.
- I find the intersection of AI and the uniquely human qualities of care, wisdom, awe, and courage to be not only fascinating but centrally important to the times we are in.
- I take great joy in creating spaces where surprising and seemingly opposite groups discover a new sense of connection and even mutuality.
Formerly, I was a high school English teacher, a US Army Chaplain, and a long-time pastor of congregations in Atlanta, GA, Richmond VA, and the greater Austin, TX area. Last year I published my first book, Small Stories about Big Things. There, I help people discover how some of the most important insights around calling, belonging, and leadership can be found in the everyday stories unfolding around us all of the time.
My wife, two young boys, and I now reside in Oak Park, IL.
