""Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." Maya Angelou"

About Me:

I’m a public health professional, emergency manager, and complex trauma survivor committed to helping women and trauma survivors rise through disaster—personal, natural, and systemic.

With a background in emergency response, medical sciences, and health equity, I’ve worked across disaster zones, public health crises, and broken systems that were never built for everyone. That firsthand experience—both professional and personal—led me to co-create Authentically Disasterous, the Podcast.

Our mission is simple but urgent: Resilience Rooted in Reality. We support women and trauma survivors navigating crisis and systemic collapse. Whether it’s navigating climate-fueled disasters, gender-based violence, mental health breakdowns, or political burnout—we aim to offer real support during life’s hardest storms.

With a blend of lived experience and professional expertise, my approach is deeply trauma-informed, relatable, and driven by the belief that resilience thrives through connection, compassion, and courage. Whether through storytelling, impactful education, or intentional advocacy, I'm committed to uplifting voices, challenging systemic inequities, and fostering meaningful change.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I'm a dog and plant mom who enjoys gardening, outdoor activities, DIY/crafting, and ice cream. I cherish nature, traveling, learning through new experiences, connecting deeply with others, and embracing laughter—both as medicine and simply for the joy of it!
