Leoma Gilley

"Organization is power."
About Me:
First of all, I am a storyteller, a gift inherited from my father. I am a Christian and have written devotional and prayer books. I am a linguist specializing in Nilo-Saharan languages (from the Sudan). Finally, I am an award-winning author writing a memoir series about my 20 years in Sudan. I have traveled widely, lived in war situations, and have many cross-cultural experiences. As the Director of Training for SIL in Africa, I set up a BA level training program in Africa called the Institute for the Development of Languages and Translation in Africa (iDELTA). This program has trained over 300 Africans in translation, Scripture engagement, mother-tongue education, and survey principles. I retired to become an author in 2017 and live in Knoxville, TN.
