Hello! I'm Rosa Linda Román. I go by "Rosa Linda." I'm an Amazon best selling author and former TV news reporter & anchor who has been podcasting since 2007. I am also a frequently, full-time traveling mom of 3, splitting my time between living on catamarans and our home in New Mexico, USA. Before her author career, Rosa Linda was a mainstream broadcast journalist. Her career included anchoring and reporting at TV stations around the country; WCTV Tallahassee, KVIA El Paso, KOAT-7 Albuquerque, KSAZ Fox 10 Phoenix, WTVT-13 Tampa & KION-46 Salinas/Monterey. She has also been a successful independent director, screenwriter, podcaster, livestreamer & public speaker.
In 2005, Rosa Linda left her TV news career to start her family. She returned to her storytelling roots in 2007, creating "New Mexicast," the first video podcast in the state of New Mexico, which became a weekly, half-hour TV show for two seasons.
From "New Mexicast" sprang "New Mexi-Castaways." Along with her husband, 3 kids, and German Shepherd, Rosa Linda has spent six years living on 3 catamarans, s/v Hakuna Matata, s/v Dawn Treader & m/v Kungaloosh! For years, Rosa Linda chronicled their liveaboard adventures on her audio podcast, "New Mexi-Castaways," which, though retired, is still available on podcast platforms today. Her family's sailing adventures are also the subject of Rosa Linda's memoir, “Losing Sight of the Shore; How to Live on a Boat Without Killing Your Family.”
She is especially proud of the fact that she writes and publishes her books while remaining fully present for her family's world-traveling adventures. Rosa Linda currently splits her time between the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico, USA), and exploring the Mediterranean with her family on the catamaran, m/v Kungaloosh!
Rosa Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication from the University of Florida and a "Ducktorate" degree from Disney University. She is CEO of New Mexicast, Inc.
