A podcast made by an everyday sailor and recreational kayaker — we talk daysailing, racing, cruising, boat shopping, boat projects — and everything in between! Initially a sailing podcast, I’m pleased to announce my show’s content now includes topics covering other activities out on the water — kayaking, fishing, surfing, kiteboarding, free diving — you name it! Got an idea for a show? Reach out to me — I always love hearing from my listeners!

Ahoy, friends! Join me in today’s episode as I visit with Madi Kro, a sea kayaker and adventurer, who hails from Germany. Madi and I dive deep into her love for the water, being immersed in nature, and adventuring on the water with a sea kayak. Some highlights of the show feature Madi sharing some of her favorite and most challenging places to kayak; how it feels to paddle both solo and with others; how she connected with her mentor, Susan Conrad, a fellow sea kayaker and adventurer; how Madi stays fit both physically and mentally for adventuring with a kayak, and she tells us about her famous kayak, PRUDENCE, the sea kayak she is currently adventuring with, in Alaska, as of this broadcast. Madi entices listeners with a taste of what it’s like to kayak in seascapes and waters rich in wildness and wilderness, as well as what it’s like to be alone in nature feeling like a small part of everything.
PLEASE BE KIND — I’m no expert — I’m just a regular gal learning as I go! Also, I don’t have a huge budget dedicated to equipment and/or other resources for recording audio — but, I put lots of love and time into creating these podcasts in the hopes that sharing what I learn might help you!
