Anwar Khoury is a Palestinian living in Ramallah in the West Bank. He is a member of the Palestine Communist Party and works in a Pharmaceutical factory.
He tells Adeeb and Andreas of the dire strangulation effect on Palestinian independence from decades of illegal Israeli occupation. He explains how Palestinian unity is relentlessly undermined, how the Palestinian Authorities have been bought off since the Oslo accords, and how most of the larger political parties are controlled through economic coercion. In a climate of oppression and subjugation, Palestinians are enticed to trade in their quest for justice and freedom for all for their economic survival.
Anwar explains that Palestinians are at a critical juncture where they must find exceptional leadership and put Palestinian unity at the top of the agenda. If not now, then when?
