Abdullah bin Hamid Ali is a British-American Islamic scholar, educator, and translator known for his work in classical Islamic sciences and Qur’an studies. He serves as a visiting scholar and teacher with Yaqeen Institute, and he has held teaching roles at AlMaghrib Institute and various global Islamic centers. His efforts emphasize making the traditional sciences accessible to contemporary learners.

Born and raised in the UK and later residing in the United States, Abdullah pursued Islamic studies across multiple countries. He completed intensive training in tajwīd (Qur’an recitation), tafsīr (exegesis), Qur’an memorization, Arabic grammar, and Hadith sciences. He received ijāzahs (teaching permissions) and had the opportunity to study under recognized scholars in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

Over the years, Abdullah bin Hamid Ali has authored and translated key works including *Encyclopedia of the Qur’an* and *Colorful Qur’an Tafsīr* volumes. He regularly delivers lectures and podcasts on Qur’anic themes, scholarly methodology, and spiritual development through platforms like Yaqeen, AlMaghrib, and Learning Islamic Sciences.

More than a teacher, he mentors students of all ages. He offers courses and retreats emphasizing Qur’anic discipline, academic rigor, and spiritual reflection.
