Stadium BS: The Full Count Foundation Interview | Featuring Kirth Dozier
In this episode of Stadium BS, we sit down with Kirth Dozier, founder of the Full Count Foundation, to break down how baseball is creating real opportunities for underserved youth—both in the United States and around the world.
The Full Count Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been making a major impact since 2016 by combining baseball, softball, and after-school programming to support kids in underserved communities. The results speak for themselves—over 70 players have gone on to play college baseball, and 100% of participants graduate and continue their education.
We also dive into the foundation’s growing international presence, including its partnership with J.A.M Academy in South Africa. While cities like Cape Town and Gauteng continue to grow the game, areas like Limpopo still need resources—highlighting both the progress and the work still ahead.
Kirth shares his personal journey, from falling in love with baseball as a kid to becoming a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, and how those early experiences shaped his mission today. We also talk about standout success stories like Jarren Purify, a Clemson standout and Full Count alum who is making serious noise at the collegiate level.
Looking ahead, the vision is clear: grow the game, create opportunities, and bring baseball back to prominence in communities like Detroit—while building a sustainable future by developing the next generation of players and leaders.
This is more than baseball—this is impact.
