Inside the mind of a CEO

Inside the mind of a CEO
Podcast Description
What does it really take to reinvent yourself at the peak of your career? What drives someone to step away from the familiar, invest in a world-class education, and redefine what’s possible in their career and life? Inside the Mind of a CEO pulls back the curtain to reveal the thoughts, decisions, and mindset shifts that drive that kind of transformation.
Hosted by an IESE Global Executive MBA graduate (GEMBA), this short-form interview series features candid conversations with leaders who have navigated the intense, transformative journey of an MBA (Master in Business Administration) including many of my own classmates from GEMBA24. During my GEMBA, I noticed something remarkable: the people who choose these programs share a common growth mindset. They don’t dwell on impossibilities, but instead they see possibilities. They know that forward motion, even in uncertainty, is where real change happens, and they understand the concept of moving beyond their fear to succeed.
In each mini episodes, I ask every guest the same five powerful questions. This consistent lens reveals how different leaders approach similar challenges, how their mindsets evolved during the MBA program, and how they’ve used their MBA to reinvent themselves in their careers, businesses, and lives.
This podcast is designed to empower you to act, to show you that behind every impressive title is a real person who embraced learning, overcame obstacles, and turned education into a launchpad for success. Whether you’re exploring your own MBA, navigating a mid-career pivot, or simply want to think more like a leader, these conversations will give you the insight and inspiration to take your next big step.
Because Inside the Mind of a CEO doesn’t just tell you what leaders do, it shows you how they think, so you can think like one too.

In this kick-off episode, I sit down with my classmate Felipe Torrejon, CEO and founder of InterEuropa, to explore why even a seasoned leader with degrees from Universidad de Chile, MIT Sloan, and the IESE Global Executive MBA chooses to keep learning. Driven by a fear of stagnation, Felipe reveals how the GEMBA shaped his leadership and the powerful realisation that true respect does not come from people-pleasing, but from showing up as yourself. This conversation is a must-listen if you are thinking about your own next step in leadership, education, or life.
