The Disinfluecer 100
The Disinfluecer 100
Podcast Description
Disinfluencer 100 is a podcast that flips the script on what it means to be influential. Hosted by Simone Eyles, founder of Disinfluencer, each episode features one powerful voice from Australia’s disability community, showcasing the people brands need to know, hear, and work with.
This isn’t inspiration-porn. It’s not “awareness-raising” in the traditional sense. It’s storytelling with purpose, real people, real representation, and real opportunity. The Disinfluencer 100 is a platform for change-makers, creators, advocates, and artists who are redefining the influence economy on their own.
Podcast Insights
Content Themes
The podcast delves into various themes surrounding the disability experience, highlighting storytelling with purpose and representation. Topics include creating scalable impact through social enterprises, complex discussions on autism, and the intersection of disability with media and culture. Specific episodes feature individuals like Michael Coles discussing autism complexities and Laetitia Andrac on the importance of accessible resources for families.

This podcast is for people who know inclusion matters and want to understand how to actually do it properly. We have conversations about inclusion, creativity and the systems we need to do it properly. Not theory. Not inspiration for inspiration’s sake. Real stories, real work, and the infrastructure behind meaningful change.
Each episode sits at the intersection of people and systems, the lived experience, the creative output, and the practical mechanics that make inclusion sustainable (not performative).
You’ll hear from artists, creators, advocates and industry leaders, my kinda ppl!
How Long Does it Take?
We’re going to dedicate segments of the podcast to this conversation and start breaking down the barriers around what it actually takes to be accessible and inclusive.
This was sparked by content creator Christi Newrutzen, whose work I came across on Instagram. Her reel “How long does it take – Pap Smear” is one you absolutely need to watch — it’s such a powerful reminder of the everyday accessibility barriers people face. The conversation kept rolling inside The Champagne Lounge: https://www.rebeccasaunders.com/lounge (Rebecca Saunders’ community), where Emma joined in. Emma had recently purchased my Accessibility Statement Guide and shared how quick it actually was to implement.
She used the Accessibility Statement across her website and for her event: proving the point that accessibility doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming when you just start.
And a little side note: Emma is also the creative genius behind the epic background you always see behind me on Instagram for The Creative Business Summit: https://www.thecreativebusinesshub.online/the-creative-business-summit
So on the pod, we’re going to unpack these myths, share real examples, and show how businesses can start making practical changes right now.

The Disinfluencer 100
Hosted by Simone Eyles, founder of Disinfluencer, each episode features one powerful voice from Australia’s disability community—showcasing the people brands need to know, hear, and work with.
Born from the viral campaign of the same name, The Disinfluencer 100 began as a list: 100 disabled Australians making waves across media, business, culture, and community.
The podcast builds on that momentum, offering listeners a chance to connect more deeply with each person’s story, work, and impact.
