However, in recent years, so-called cultural apologetics has become more prominent in both scholarship and popular awareness. This approach includes the use of imaginative literature and other creative arts, which can convey higher truths by appealing to different aspects of the human soul. Two of the most beloved Christian writers of all time, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, understood the power of storytelling in shaping our understanding of reality. In this episode, we’ll explore a few examples from their work and consider the value of imaginative apologetics and how it resonates with the teachings of Christ.
