We’re taking “live podcast” to a whole new level.

In this episode of Can I Riff?, we’re recording straight from the hospital while Lauren is literally in labor with our baby girl.

We talk about the night everything started, her water breaking, getting to the hospital, the epidural, contractions, and all the nerves and excitement leading up to meeting our daughter. Somehow, in the middle of labor, we also manage to riff about pregnancy, getting your body back after having a baby, the realities of labor and delivery, and whether modern medicine has seriously not come up with a better way to check dilation.

We also get into our family’s sports loyalties, the Pacers, Steelers, Chiefs and Colts, why fall might be the perfect season to bring home a newborn, and what life is about to look like as a family of five.

There are ice chips, hospital interruptions, family cameos, questionable jokes, and a whole lot of anticipation.

This is easily one of the wildest episodes we’ve ever recorded.
