This week, we’re talking about something that touches all of our lives but often goes unspoken: grief. Gabri Segui, creator and host of the My Mom Died Podcast, joins us for an honest conversation about losing her mom unexpectedly and how that experience inspired her to create a platform where people can talk openly about loss.
Together, we explore the isolation that can come with grief, the pressure to ”move on,” how loss changes relationships, and why it's so important to create space for difficult conversations. Gabri also shares how poetry, podcasting, and community have helped her navigate her own healing while helping others feel less alone. Along the way, we talk about the beauty of remembering the people we love and the ways they continue to shape who we are.

This conversation is vulnerable, thoughtful, and a reminder that grief isn't something we ”get over.” It's something we learn to carry, and talking about it can make that journey a little less lonely.
