For this conversation, we visited Kathryn Kupillas, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Inner Vision Psychotherapy in Los Angeles, to talk about something so many of us experience but rarely understand: burnout. As creatives, entrepreneurs and people living in a fast-paced world, we wanted to explore what burnout actually is, why it happens, and how we can start listening to what our minds and bodies are trying to tell us.
Kathryn shares her approach to holistic therapy, depth psychology and somatic healing, while helping us unpack topics like perfectionism, anxiety, emotional safety, conflict, productivity and the importance of slowing down. We also talk about why emotions aren't meant to be ignored, how our bodies communicate what our minds often can't, and simple ways to reconnect with ourselves before reaching a breaking point.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating anxiety, or simply looking to better understand yourself, this conversation offers practical tools and thoughtful reminders that healing begins by slowing down and listening inward.
