Welcome back to Part 2 of our conversation with Edward Leber where he opens up about the reality of living with a severe heart condition and how a medical disqualification from the military redirected his path into engineering and endurance sports. This journey eventually sparked an incredible mission to run a half or full marathon in all 50 states alongside his father.
But the physical hurdles are only a fraction of the story. Edward details a terrifying recent medical emergency: surviving a 2.5-hour episode of Ventricular Tachycardia (V-Tach) while fully conscious—a literal medical anomaly. This led to a new type of ICD device being implanted under his sternum just months after the birth of his daughter. Together, we dive deep into the unseen “war between the ears,” wrestling with God’s plan, dismantling subtle idols of self-reliance, and why we must fight the enemy’s tactic of isolation by boldly sharing our testimonies.
If this story stirs something in you—pray on it. If you’re searching for more—lean in. Because God is always knocking. The question is: will you answer?
