. . . . . .
The Falls are a special place, the convergence of two powerful geologic forces: the nation-splitting Niagara Escarpment and the ever-churning flow of the Great Lakes. Centuries of colonization, destructive tourism, and deteriorating climate have put Niagara on the threshold of ecological collapse. Most simply pass through the Falls, but we have sworn to protect it: safeguarding its secrets and maintaining its delicate ecological balance. One day, we'll be called the largest Witch Coven that ever existed. But today, in 22XX, we barely know that word. Some of us believe in magic, but just as many are harsh skeptics. We call ourselves a movement, a collective, an occupation. We've barricaded ourselves on the Three Sisters Islands, planting a flag and keeping tourists out. They'll call us radical, attention-seeking witches, but we won't let them ignore us.
