Listen in as we listen to an AI generated story about ”How MIT Founders Actually Built Silicon Valley.”
I like reading and listening to inspirational stories. I was interested in getting clarity on some famous founders from MIT as a source of inspiration for me and for the people I'm meeting at MIT that are interested in starting AI companies.
A quick search turned up an article from 2014 by Eugene Kim entitled, ”Companies Founded by MIT Grads.”
From his bio on BusinessInside.com: In 2022, Eugene broke a story uncovering Amazon’s practice of deceptively enrolling customers in Prime and deliberately making cancellation difficult. A year later, the Federal Trade Commission sued the company, citing his reporting. That case culminated in a record $2.5 billion settlement in 2025.
In the episode I share that:
–I wanted to create an audio of the article so I could listen rather than read it.
–I decided to be creative and rather than an audio, to turn it into a conversational audio using NotebookLM.
–I tweaked the prompt to heighten the rivalry between MIT, Stanford, and Harvard.
