In the first episode of Season 2 of Bare Frequencies, Shona sits down with Tom Withers “Tommy Stupid”, drummer and vocalist of 1980s skater punk band The Stupids, and later Klute, pioneering drum & bass producer and founder of Commercial Suicide record label.
Tom reflects on the raw energy of his punk beginnings, the fearless DIY spirit that shaped his music, and the evolution into drum & bass, where he carved out a global platform for underground sounds. He shares stories of creativity, resilience, and the funny, chaotic, and unforgettable moments along the way.
