Emergency physician Dr. Mimi Syed has been all over the media talking about the crimes she witnessed in Gaza, but until today, she’s never talked about her love for the animals of Gaza, her experiences with them there, and the crimes Israel is committing against them. Hear Dr. Syed and I, an anti-genocide veterinarian, as we discuss the animals in Gaza and how we can all unite to fight for both people and animals.
Dr. Syed is an American doctor who has worked in Gaza multiple times and you’ve probably seen her all over mainstream media demanding justice for the Palestinian people. A couple weeks ago, the Israeli government blocked her from entering Gaza and within a week of that carried out their disgusting and psychopathic “double tap” strike on Nasser hospital. She has been in the media discussing both events.
She and I recorded this interview because we are both advocates for animals and we actually did this a few months ago just to create clips for social media – but her entire interview was so touching that it helped me realize I needed to start a podcast.
