Join Joli & Aswin as they sit down with astrologer and astrophotographer Rod Chang. Rod founded the Academy of Astrology UK and has studied astrology for over 3 decades. He can be frequently seen engaging with a wide variety of astrologers, particularly around mundane topics. He is also the author of the beautiful book, Comets in Astrology.
In this episode, we discuss which comets Rod chooses to focus on, how we might conceptualise comets philosophically/as a part of a foundational cosmology. Aswin briefly touches on comets described in the Vedas, while Rod mentions the ancient Chinese records on comets and the interpretations that accompanied them–proving that observation of comets is not simply a “modern” thing. Comets as a time-tracking tool, disruptors, bookmarks, and indicators of that which inspires fills the wide-ranging conversation from multiple angles. It was a very satisfying discussion indeed!
