Mary Ann Penashue is a renowned Innu artist and painter. Penashue was one of the last Sheshatshiu Innu of her generation born in a tent on the land, and grew up drastically different than today’s youth. Penashue shares her thoughts on the changes since her childhood and advice for future artists. Penashue spoke to the Lake Melville School Grade 5 & Grade 6 Classes. Labrador Legacy is a podcast created by the Grade 5 & Grade 6 classes, in partnership with Lake Melville School. The program was funded by the provincial ArtsSmarts Program.
