🌸 BEYOND THIS with Zaheerah Bham Ismail This Women’s Month, I’m joined by Appa Zaa for a deeply meaningful conversation about one of the most important—and often least acknowledged—roles a woman can hold. Motherhood comes without a salary, a job description, annual leave or an award ceremony. Yet mothers give endlessly: their time, their prayers, their patience, their dreams and so much of themselves. We explore the unseen value of motherhood—the sacrifices nobody applauds, the emotional labour nobody sees and the legacy mothers create in ways that may only be understood years later. But this conversation also makes space for another reality: not every mother-child relationship is nurturing. Some women carry the pain of toxic, difficult or absent mothers. Some are healing from what they didn’t receive, while learning how to become the women they needed. Because honouring motherhood does not mean ignoring the complexities of it. A conversation about love, sacrifice, faith, gratitude, healing, forgiveness and the profound impact a mother—or the absence of one—can have on a woman’s life. 🎙️ The Value of a Mother — with Appa Zaa Because motherhood leaves a mark. Sometimes through what we received and sometimes through what we didn’t—and both stories deserve to be heard.
