How do you raise a young woman with strong values in a culture that often challenges them? In this episode, two girl-dads, Wade and I discuss How to Raise a Conservative Daughter by Michelle Easton, a book aimed at helping parents instill character, confidence, and conviction in their daughters. We reflect on what the book gets right—and where it misses opportunities—especially when it comes to the role of dads in shaping a daughter’s political and moral worldview.
We cover everything from family structure, work ethic, and religious upbringing to abortion, American exceptionalism, and how to raise daughters who are both capable and grounded. Expect candid stories from our own upbringing, reflections on parenting young kids today, and thoughts on what it means to raise daughters who are truly independent—not because the culture says they don’t need a man, but because they bring strength, values, and purpose to whatever path they choose. The values are “more caught than taught”.
This is an episode for parents who want to be intentional, raise strong girls, and push back against the modern culture of victimhood with a message of gratitude, service, and moral clarity.
