The podcast focuses on the Star Wars expanded universe literature, with episodes analyzing both beloved and less appreciated works. Join two queer 30-somethings every two weeks as they read (and occasionally watch) the Star Wars Legends oeuvre in publication order! They discuss the merits of the old extended universe and enjoy (or don’t enjoy!) these pulpy sci-fi novels. And, eventually, they will talk about Dash Rendar. (We Need To Talk About Dash Rendar is our mirror-universe podcast, about a different franchise. We don’t know why they picked that name.)
Join hosts Bateleur, a Sorcerer of Tunt (They/Them) and Étoile (She/Her) as we close out L. Neil Smith's Lando Calrissian Trilogy with Lando Calrissian And The Starcave of ThonBoka. The short version is that Smith crushed our spirits. Unlike our podcast, this book didn't have a point. Consider the many kinds of space whales and hear Bateleur (Sorcerer of Tunt) complain about Stephen Moffat. We'll also spoil the first Tiffany Aching book and aggressively defend LOST. And just another reminder, you can't be a misogynist if you don't have any female characters! Smith manages to be one anyway.
