Episode 44 opens with Dave battling unseasonable allergy season and somehow turning it into a freestyle rap. From there the guys go deep on the ultimate snack tier list — Cool Ranch Doritos vs. salt and vinegar, corn nuts, Slim Jims, Polly-O cheese sticks, Canadian Smarties (which are NOT the same thing as American Smarties — a debate that gets heated fast), chocolate covered marshmallows, and the underrated power of a cherry Coke Slurpee meal from 7-Eleven.
Then things get really entertaining. Dave’s mom is turning 85 years old and wants a clambake — and Dave is not entirely on board with the catering budget. What follows is one of the funniest segments in Modern Day Man history: the guys call real food truck and catering companies LIVE on air — including Angry Archie’s and a mysterious operation running out of a warehouse with a kid in the background — trying to lock in lobster rolls, clam bakes, burgers, and paper plates for 30 people in Spring Lake Heights, NJ, all while Aaron keeps blurting out things the caterers absolutely did not need to hear.
