What do you actually want?
It sounds like a simple question. But for women who have spent years caring for children, building careers, supporting partners, managing families and doing what they thought they should be doing, it can be surprisingly difficult to answer.
In this episode of Life is Beauty Full, Samantha sits down with life coach Kerry Hanna for a conversation about what happens when we become so focused on everyone and everything around us that we slowly lose touch with ourselves.
Kerry knows this experience personally. After the breakdown of her marriage in her early forties, with a one-year-old son, she found herself at an unexpected crossroads. She had done so many of the things she believed she was supposed to do, yet the life she had planned had fallen apart. Rebuilding became an opportunity to look inward and begin asking different questions.
Together, Samantha and Kerry explore why prioritizing our own wants can feel selfish, how to recognize the subtle signals our bodies may already be giving us, and why learning to trust ourselves often begins with something very small: pausing long enough to listen.
They talk about intuition and the inner critic, boundaries, self-compassion, rediscovering joy, and why you don't necessarily need to make a dramatic leap when you're feeling stuck. Sometimes the most meaningful change begins with one small decision that feels right for you.
At the heart of Kerry's work is a beautifully simple reminder: ”And back to you.”
How do you feel? What do you need? What do you want?
If you're navigating a transition, questioning what's next, or simply feeling disconnected from the person you used to be, this episode is an invitation to turn some of the attention you've given everyone else back toward yourself.
Because maybe asking what you want isn't selfish after all.
