Then, Franz Klein returns to discuss Christian symbolism and scriptural parallels in two stories from the novel: the saving of Magdalena and the deaths of Padre Martinez and Padre Lucero.
Franz Klein teaches history, literature, and religion for Mother of Divine Grace School, an online program for Catholic homeschooling families. He and his wife Rosemary homestead and grow lots of garlic, together with their seven boys, on an organic farm in West-Central Wisconsin.
