For the fifth episode of EngBioTech we wanted to support International Women in Engineering Day, a fantastic initiative brought about by the Women’s Engineering Society. The theme for this year is 'Engineered Intelligence' with the aim being to promote the amazing work that women engineers across the globe are doing.According to the Women's Engineering Society currently in the UK only 16.9% of engineers are women, so here at EBIC we wanted to do our bit to encourage more young women and girls to take up engineering as a career. Listen now to our interview with EBIC Hub Manager Dr Kristell Le Corre Pidou and Dr Rachel Samson, Research Fellow in Molecular Bioaerosol Detection, both at Cranfield University.
