Detective Sean Tanner moved to Spartina Island to enjoy the retired life, but when he gets the opportunity to help solve a cold case, he’s all in. When a mother is found dead in her kitchen and her teenage daughter goes missing, Sean teams up with Sergeant Charlotte “Charlie” Nash to solve the case and find the teen. They soon realize this case links to a fourteen year old murder and abduction. As they get closer to the truth, it’s hard to tell what’s more dangerous…a Category 3 hurricane or a ruthless killer.
I enjoyed this fascinating interview with author Brian Thiem about his career in law enforcement and real life cold case work. We also had fun discussing Brian’s yellow Lab, Annie, Tonkinese Cat, Lexi and how they inspired the four-legged characters in A DEATH IN THE DELUGE.
