Welcome to UW! We are excited to be back after a little 6 week break. Our guest today is Owen LaFave. He is on the pod today to talk about his struggles with severe depression and how God pulled him out of all of the darkness he was going through.
His story is such a beautiful example of God's love for believers and unbelievers alike. He is patient and long-suffering, His greatest desire is intimacy with us as His people. He draws us to repentance and into relationship with Him and I'm so thankful He kept after Owen time and time again.
One of the most powerful tools God used to get through to Owen was community. He kept surrounding him with exactly who he needed, to love on him and fight for him and most importantly PRAY for him!!
Sometimes we don't always see what people are really struggling with. Let's love people well and be kind, always. And may God help us each to know He is there with us…loving us…even in our darkest valleys.
