Welcome to Unwasted Wounds Season 2 Episode 3! We have another exciting guest for you today. John Scott is sharing his story of how God rescued him from 25 years of what I'm calling, ”twisted scripture”. It's sort of an extension to Episode 1 and 2 with his wife, Martha Scott. I encourage you to go back and listen to her episodes before you listen to this one. They are so so good and it will give even more context.
I heard a quote recently by Annie F. Downs where she said, ”God saved my life just once, but he rescues me over and over.” I love love LOVE this. It's been true in my own life and it's so true and evident in John's story. Time and time again, through the humility and kindness of others, God brought him back to the truth of His word and to the truth of His unending love for him.
Ephesians 4:2 ”Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
1 John 4:16. ”So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. GOD IS LOVE, and whoever abides in Love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
We honestly got so much out of this episode you guys and it was such a powerful reminder to love people well!! We pray it blesses you also!
