Featured Guest: Andy Hall

Beginning in college radio, Andy built a long career in rock broadcasting that started at WRFW-FM in River Falls, Wisconsin (1998–1999) as Sports Director and Assistant Music Director. After an internship at 93X KXXR-FM (1999–2000) working in-studio with Remy Maxwell, Andy moved to KAZR-FM Lazer 103.3 in Des Moines, Iowa, where he began with overnight and weekend shifts (2000–2001) and launched the metal program “Aggro Culture.” Andy later hosted nights (2001–2003) before becoming Program Director and afternoon host at KQWB-FM Q98 in Fargo, North Dakota (2003–2004). Andy then returned to Lazer 103.3, serving in several leadership and on-air roles including Music Director, Assistant Program Director, and Program Director, while hosting afternoons and helping shape the station’s rock programming through July 1, 2024.

Throughout his career, Andy has produced and hosted numerous nationally and globally syndicated radio specials and interviews with major rock and metal artists. His work includes specials with Metallica, Slipknot, Stone Sour, and Megadeth, as well as projects tied to major album box sets such as Master of Puppets, …And Justice for All, and S&M2. Andy has also moderated high-profile industry events, including a Danny Wimmer Presents/Metallica press conference in 2019, and won the Rock Radio Award for Music Director of the Year (Medium Market) in 2017.
