What does strength actually look like?
For some people, it's surviving a brain tumor.
For others, it's walking into a gym for the first time, starting over, or saying yes to something that scares you.
In this episode of Clocked In, Checked Out, I sit down with my coach, hype woman, HYROX partner-in-crime, and the person responsible for pushing me further than I ever thought possible, Stephanie Masuda.
What started as a fitness journey became so much more.
We talk about Stephanie's experience surviving a brain tumor, how it reshaped her perspective on life, and why strength has nothing to do with how much weight you can lift and everything to do with how you respond when life knocks you down.
We also reflect on my own transformation, the lessons we've learned through coaching, consistency, and showing up when we don't feel like it. From training for HYROX to building confidence through action, this conversation is packed with honest moments, unexpected laughs, and a few hard truths.
And because this is Clocked In, Checked Out, we eventually spiral into an important discussion about gym crushes.
Do they actually help your workouts?
Should you ever talk to them?
Is knowing someone's workout split a little weird?
And is having multiple gym crushes a personality trait or a cry for help?
This episode is funny, vulnerable, inspiring, and a reminder that growth doesn't happen all at once. It happens one workout, one decision, and one uncomfortable step at a time.
So grab your emotional support water bottle, your pre-workout, or a tequila if you're feeling brave, and join us for a conversation about resilience, transformation, gym crushes, and becoming stronger than you ever thought possible.
