Silicon Oasis sits down with Jordan Fourcher, founder of CryoX and Silicon Oasis Ambassador, to discuss the company’s passive daytime radiative cooling technology and its potential applications in Arizona and beyond.
CryoX has developed a water-based radiative cooling paint designed to cool surfaces below ambient air temperature by radiating heat toward the sky — without relying on traditional mechanical cooling.
Jordan shares the five-year journey behind the technology, the years of research required to understand its real-world applications, and CryoX’s rapid growth from roughly 15–20 customers annually to approximately 1,000 customers in the past eight months.
The conversation also explores potential applications ranging from reducing radiant heat and improving thermal comfort to atmospheric water collection and even small-scale nighttime energy generation.
Most importantly, Jordan explains why CryoX is committed to making a technology that has historically been difficult to access available to anyone who wants to experiment, build, and innovate with it.
