Dave at the table
Dave at the table
Podcast Description
All Christians worship in a particular stream of Christianity. But no single movement carries it all. Dave Olson, Heartland Church senior leader, firmly believes this. Fell into drugs, became homeless, then God saved and healed him. He wants to give away what he's learned. He sits down with all kinds of people, especially Christian leaders making an impact locally and globally. Here to challenge those who think the gifts of the Spirit are for today, by helping them root it in the Bible. And challenge the one who isn't so sure the gifts are for today but loves the Word and is cautiously open.

They've got powerful parallel history both in vocation and spiritual growth. These two old friends sit down for a conversation at the table — Dave Olson is at the table with Bob Larson. They dive deep into Bob's story – convinced his marriage was ending, Bob tells how God intervened and saved his relationship with his wife. They explore Bob's first experiences of realizing what it is like to hear from the Lord and learning to be led by Him.
Bob Larson is a certified mentor. His passion for serving vulnerable populations led him to join the Adult & Teen Challenge leadership in 1995, where he created a residential program for men in Omaha, NE. Bob continues to walk alongside people seeking wholeness, and as a team leader with Wellsprings of Freedom, a ministry aimed at helping people find freedom from trauma, hurt, and spiritual oppression. He also leads Libertas Mentoring, a program guiding Christian men to become pillars of freedom in Christ. Bob is also a teaching pastor with Radiant Church in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
