Dave at the table
Dave at the table
Podcast Description
All Christians worship in a particular stream of Christianity. But no single movement carries it all. Dave Olson, Heartland Church senior leader, firmly believes this. Fell into drugs, became homeless, then God saved and healed him. He wants to give away what he's learned. He sits down with all kinds of people, especially Christian leaders making an impact locally and globally. Here to challenge those who think the gifts of the Spirit are for today, by helping them root it in the Bible. And challenge the one who isn't so sure the gifts are for today but loves the Word and is cautiously open.

This week Dave Olson is at the table with Greg Baker, the Executive Vice President of THE FAMiLY LEADER Foundation and the Founding Director of Church Ambassador Network. Greg became a Christian while working on a governor's campaign, met his wife working in politics, found his church tribe in Walnut Creek Church in Des Moines, and launched into a life connecting leaders in the church and politics. Should the church engage in government? Dave and Greg explore this idea, and more, on this episode.
The Church Ambassador Network connects pastors, the shepherds of God’s Church, with the shepherds of government. By fostering gospel-centered relationships, they break down barriers and create pathways for meaningful dialogue, encouragement, and partnerships that address the needs of the community.
