Here are the 9 fruit principles we discussed:

1. ​ “Good fruit cannot come from unhealthy roots.”
2. ​ “A strong tree cannot exist without deep roots.” [Psalm 1]
3. ​ “Fruit doesn’t ripen unless it spends time in sunlight and receives steady nourishment.”
4. ​ “Fruit that can be inspected and picked doesn’t have defenses up like thorns. [Matthew 7:16]… but also, plants have thorns to protect from enemies”

6. ​ “A healthy cannot NOT bear fruit. Fruit is ALWAYS a product of a tree that is watered and tended well. A healthy tree bears witness to the one who planted it/tended it.”
7. ​ “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.”… we play a part in our gardening… [Matthew 3:8]
8. ​ “Damage from spiritual termites doesn’t always show up initially… damage starts from the core and spreads outward… then, if someone comes along to prune the tree or climb up to pick/inspect its fruit, it collapses under the weight of pressure.”
9. ​ “If the bad roots are uprooted and destroyed… good plants and good fruit cannot come from it. EVEN IF above the surface, everything looks/appears completely uprooted… we must go deep into the soil and remove everything that corrupts or inhibits the flow of water”
