“Where to Eat” Episode 30 – Purple Palace
Sponsored by DANDELION & BURDOCK of Fergus Falls and Service Food of Fergus Falls.
In Episode 30 of Where to Eat, hosts Zakk Daniels & Dave Bishop revisit Vining, MN, for a flavorful return to one of Otter Tail County’s quirkiest and most beloved dining destinations;
The newly remodeled Purple Palace, now under the ownership of Kevin and Tina Rasmussen of Battle Lake.
This iconic eatery, known for its vibrant purple aesthetic and small-town charm, has been lovingly refreshed with a modern twist.

It’s a perfect blend of nostalgia and new energy.
The Food Adventure
Zakk and Dave dig into the Palace’s newly refined menu—starting with the show-stopping broasted chicken, which still follows the legendary recipe passed down by longtime owner Lynda Rubink.
