Just this month, I attended a business awards night as a finalist for Businesswoman of the Year, and while the recognition itself was incredibly special, it wasn’t what stayed with me. As I sat in that room, I found myself thinking about the 20-year-old version of me…
The girl who started a business with big dreams but very little certainty. The girl who thought success would look one way, only to discover that life, business, relationships, motherhood, and personal growth would shape an entirely different path.
If you had told me ten years ago that I’d still be standing here, running the same business, helping women transform their lives, raising a family, weathering heartbreak, rebuilding, growing, and being recognised for the work I’ve poured my heart into, I honestly don’t know if I would have believed you.
In episode 65, I reflect on the things that younger me never saw coming:
The setbacks that became my greatest lessons
The moments I wanted to quit
The unexpected turns that led me exactly where I was meant to be
How success has become less about achievement and more about the woman I’ve had to become along the way
This conversation is also an invitation for you to pause and reflect on your own journey.
What would the version of you from ten years ago think if she met you today?
Would she be proud of your resilience?
Would she be amazed by what you’ve overcome?
Would she realise that the things you once worried about would eventually become part of your story rather than the end of it?
Sometimes we’re so focused on where we’re going that we forget to acknowledge just how far we’ve come. I hope this episode reminds you to celebrate your own evolution, trust the timing of your life, and recognise that the version of you you’re becoming is often beyond anything your younger self could have imagined.
