In this episode of Between the Lines, Laura and Ahad are joined by former World No. 3 Nour El Tayeb, one of Egypt's most accomplished squash players.A winner of 16 PSA titles, including the prestigious U.S. Open and Windy City Open, and a three-time Women's World Team Champion with Egypt, Nour enjoyed an outstanding career at the very highest level. After welcoming her daughter, Farida, in 2021, she made a remarkable return to the professional tour, climbing back into the world's top five within just seven months before retiring from professional squash in 2024. Today, she is passing on her knowledge and experience as a coach.
In this honest and heartfelt conversation, Nour opens up about managing the emotional highs and lows of professional sport, overcoming personal challenges, balancing motherhood with elite competition, and finding a new purpose after retirement.
