Desiree Smith, or better known as Des, has dedicated herself to advancing the work and movement in Las Vegas since the age of 19. After witnessing her father and fellow community members endure the impacts of police violence and criminalization, she took action by founding her own organization, “More Than a Hashtag,” . She will be leading this podcast to discuss her journey from activism to organizing in her community.
