In August of 2016, Bill Johnson of the American Decency Association sat down with Phil Haney — career Department of Homeland Security officer, whistleblower, and author of See Something, Say Nothing — for a candid conversation about national security, faith, and the future of America. This was the beginning of a month-long campaign with ADA bringing Phil to speak around the state of Michigan leading up to the 2016 election and the beginning of a close friendship with Phil which lasted until his unexpected death by gunshot in 2020. The FBI ruled it a suicide, but many of his clothes friends and family are left in doubt.Phil shared his remarkable journey from agricultural entomologist in the Middle East to becoming one of the most outspoken voices on domestic threats and government overreach. He discusses the personal and spiritual convictions that guided him through fierce opposition, why integrity is the foundation of any real stand for truth, and what it means for Christians to engage in the political process.Topics covered:- Phil's path from entomology to the Department of Homeland Security- His experience as a DHS whistleblower- Why America is ”living on borrowed capital”- The role of faith, integrity, and community in fighting darkness- Why voting matters — even when the choices aren't perfectWhether you knew Phil or not, we know you'll be blessed by his insight – even a decade later.#PhilHaney #Whistleblower #NationalSecurity #DHS #AmericanDecencyAssociation #Faith #ChristianVoices
