Beyond the Happy Clappy

Beyond the Happy Clappy
Podcast Description
Beyond the Happy Clappy is our new podcast about the past, present and future of charismatic renewal. Each episode features an interview with a leading figure from that move of God that changed the UK church so profoundly from the 1960s onwards.
Our three hosts are Christopher Landau (Director of ReSource), Eleanor Jeans (Associate Vicar at St Paul’s Church, Leamington Spa and ReSource trustee) and Andy Crook (curate in Stockport and Brinnington and PhD researcher on the history of charismatic renewal). They will reflect on the lessons that recent history has for the life and mission of the church today – celebrating what was good, and also reflecting on problems and failures along the way.
Interviewees include:
Sandy Millar – who saw Holy Trinity Brompton changed profoundly by the Holy Spirit, including the exponential growth of the Alpha Course.
Mary Pytches – whose life was transformed by an encounter with God, which in turn impacted her husband David and ultimately led to the founding of New Wine.
Graham Dow – whose experience of renewal was combined with navigating the institutional church, including serving as a bishop from 1992 onwards.
Series 1 is released weekly on Sundays from 8th June: you can listen on all major podcasting platforms, or via www.resourcingrenewal.org/podcast.
