Inside my Hoodie
Inside my Hoodie
Podcast Description
What’s inside my hoodie? My heart is. And I’m ready to wear it on my sleeve—right here, with all of you. I’ve got stories. I’ve got wounds. I’ve got wisdom earned the hard way, and I know there are still lifetimes of learning ahead. This is a space for everyone. Anyone. The wanderers, the warriors, the weirdos, the wise. So welcome to the Inside My Hoodie podcast— Where the question today, and every damn day, is: Are we elevating? Hosted by England: A chef, bartender, server, truck driver, Iraq Vet, EMT, musician, traveler, writer, feeler, and healer. As someone who grew up in church and spent many restless nights fearing Hell, I want to free as many people as possible from the fear based religions dominating current History. I don’t believe God will send nor let anyone choose, conscious eternal torment.
Podcast Insights
Content Themes
The podcast explores themes of personal growth, mental health, and spirituality, with specific episodes discussing ADHD experiences, trauma, community building, and the deconstruction of traditional religious beliefs. Episodes like the Shack Ramble series illustrate candid chats about life and emotional challenges, while guest episodes reveal individual stories and collective wisdom.

Inside My Hoodie is a podcast that serves as an intimate, unfiltered exploration of the human experience, focusing on the intersection of mental health, personal growth, and the quiet moments of introspection we often keep hidden.
The title itself serves as a metaphor: the “hoodie” represents a safe space, a cocoon of comfort where the host and guests can peel back layers of performance and get honest about what is happening beneath the surface.
Core Themes and Atmosphere
The show is characterized by its vulnerable, low-stakes, and deeply authentic tone. It feels less like a polished broadcast and more like a late-night conversation between close friends.
Mental Health Advocacy: The podcast frequently tackles anxiety, depression, burnout, and the complexities of modern loneliness. It aims to destigmatize these struggles by normalizing them through storytelling.
The Creative Process: Many episodes delve into the messy reality of being a creator—dealing with imposter syndrome, the pressure to produce, and finding identity outside of work.
Radical Honesty: There is a strong emphasis on “taking off the mask.” Guests are encouraged to speak about their failures and fears just as much as their successes.
Content Structure
While episodes vary, the podcast generally follows a few distinct patterns:
Solo Deep Dives: The host shares personal reflections, recent breakthroughs, or struggles, creating a direct “ear-to-ear” connection with the listener.
Guest Interviews: These aren’t standard PR tours. The host brings on artists, thinkers, and everyday people to discuss their “hoodie moments”—those times they felt small, overwhelmed, or introspective.
Buckle up for a conversation that goes everywhere and nowhere all at once. We’re sitting down with Professor Christopher Robinson to talk about everything from the psychology of childhood resilience and growing up in a children’s home to the literal trials of the Oregon Trail.
We’re diving into “debauchery,” why everyone seems to be “flicking each other off” as a love language, and the strange mystery of the “Snuggie-wearing” AT hiker. Whether we’re discussing the “buttery” tones of a voice, the deep history of Disney animations, or why the holidays can be a total mind-fuck, this episode is “human as f***.”
Grab a Fresca (mixed with vodka, obviously), and join us for some spiritual alchemy, accidental “cock-blocking” by 19th-century literature, and a look at why life is really just about dealing with the “bad shit” that happens to everyone.
In this episode:
The “Christopher Robin” origin story.
Growing up in a children’s home vs. an orphanage.
The “Billion Seconds” book project and traveling historical trails.
Surviving an “unpaid sabbatical” and gluing Walmart shoes back together.
The etiquette of being a good (or terrible) guest.
Why Mickey Mouse’s first words were “Hot Dogs.”
