The eleventh episode of UNSCRIPT'D (00:00), w/ guest Ian Wheeler who is currently a Howard University alumni and current running back for the Chicago Bears, starts with him updating us on his rehab from his recent ACL tear before getting into his early life (2:12). We then talk about how Howard came about as an interest (6:52) and the struggles he ran into as a walk-on his freshman year (13:02). Ian talks about his breakout year (16:05) and the feeling of being put on scholarship along with the continued adversities he still faced (22:06). We then get into how the opportunity to play in the NFL came about (29:25) and the timetable between the draft and training camp (34:09) along with the difficulties of camp. Ian breaks down what that moment was like tearing his ACL during the preseason (40:15) and how the GM, Ryan Poles, gave him the news that he would be staying with the team.
