Happy last few day of May! To wrap up the month, we just had a great conversation with NHL Veteran Daniel Carcillo. Daniel played 10 season in the NHL and in 2013 & 2015 he won two Stanley Cup’s with the Chicago Blackhawks. However during his career he sustained 7 different #concussions and was eventually diagnosed with: post concussion syndrome and TBI. During his lowest point he could not even look at his phone due to light sensitivity.
Now, he is a committed advocate for alternative brain and mental health therapies, working alongside researchers, healthcare professionals, and veterans’ organizations to bring these options to more people. Daniel has started a programs with Experience Onward that let’s him share guidance, hope, and inspiration with others facing similar struggles.
