Our first episode of season 3 welcome’s Bend’s mayor Melanie Kebler. She was elected in 2022 and is vying for her second term.
Before entering local governance, Kebler built a career as a state prosecutor specializing in domestic violence cases and later worked as a victims’ rights attorney. She served as a Senior Staff Attorney for the Oregon Crime Victims Law Center , where she managed their Bend satellite office. A lifelong resident who grew up in Bend, she graduated from Bend Senior High School.
