The Overshare: Where deep curiosity meets radical authenticity in a filter-free celebration of feminine expression.
In this week’s episode, I sat down with my friend and former colleague Chloe Taylor for what turned out to be one of my favorite conversations yet.
Chloe shares how she intentionally transformed her mindset through daily practice, aiming to be “like a glass of lemonade—cool, nice, and refreshing” to everyone she meets. From her surprising revelation about her past as Vancouver club DJ Golden Touch (a career she launched after someone laughed at her ambition) to her thoughtful approach to motherhood, Chloe offers wisdom that feels both practical and profound.
What struck me most was her metaphor of treating your mind “like a shop” that needs thoughtful curation—deciding which thoughts deserve display space and which should be cleared out to make room for more positive perspectives. This approach led her to delete TikTok during pregnancy to avoid negative birth stories, ultimately helping her experience childbirth as “the best, most magical, coolest, fun day” of her life.
The conversation weaves through career insights (why being a “right fighter” gets you nowhere), the fascinating connection between music BPMs and economic conditions, and why Disney might be “the most romantic place” because it’s essentially a relationship stress test.
Whether you’re looking to shift your own perspective, navigate workplace dynamics more effectively, or just enjoy an authentic conversation between friends, this episode offers both comfort and challenge in equal measure.
