In this episode, we sit down with Danny Rasp — one of the Top Business Bankers at US Bank — whose journey to the top is filled with grit, growth, and a few great laughs along the way.
Before he was dominating the banking world, Danny spent several years in speech therapy as a kid, even having to leave one school early to attend another that could better support his development. His early struggles shaped the communicator — and the empathetic professional — he is today.
Danny opens up about the challenges of telling customers “no,” how even small irritations can stick with him for an entire day, and why he puts so much heart into everything he does.
Outside the office, Danny’s life is equally dynamic: he’s officiated football and basketball, worked field security for the Cincinnati Bengals, and recently coached football at Bellevue High School alongside Tommy Sorrell.
And then there’s the infamous “tiny hat” story — the time Danny was called with just 15 minutes’ notice to officiate a Big 12 football scrimmage… and showed up with no hat, only to be handed the smallest ref cap known to man.
This episode is full of honesty, humor, and inspiration — a real look at the journey behind the suit and tie.
