National champions AJ McCarron and Trent Richardson join Chris Stewart, the voice of Crimson Tide football and men’s basketball, for another episode of THE DYNASTY!
Chris and AJ start the show by discussing Kalen DeBoer’s seven-year contract extension. With four years still remaining on DeBoer’s deal, why did this extension need to happen now?
Then, they react to the NFL draft. They get into what the Rams saw in Ty Simpson, the situation Simpson is walking into in LA, the nine other Alabama players who were drafted and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier’s fall to the seventh round. A Kalen DeBoer-coached QB has been selected in each of the last four drafts. How attractive does that make Alabama to elite QB prospects like Elijah Haven, the top-ranked quarterback in the class of 2027, who committed to the Tide on Saturday?
To wrap up the show, Trent talks to Chris about the running backs selected in this year’s draft and whether the NFL is starting to value running backs again.
