Roll Tide!
On this week’s episode of THE DYNASTY, national champions AJ McCarron and Trent Richardson join Chris Stewart, the voice of Crimson Tide football and men’s basketball, to discuss the latest from spring practice, Ty Simpson’s draft stock and the Tide’s Sweet 16 loss to Michigan.
They start the show by reacting to what Kalen DeBoer had to say after Alabama’s first spring scrimmage. How have Austin Mack and Keelon Russell looked so far this spring? What can competition at key positions do for a team? Can Yhonzae Pierre take another step forward and become an elite pass rusher in 2026? They discuss all of that and more!
They also dive into Ty Simpson’s recent rise up the draft boards. He appears to be the clear-cut No.2 quarterback in this draft class, and some mock drafts have him going in the top five. What has led to his recent rise?
Finally, they get into Alabama’s Sweet 16 loss to Michigan. They discuss what put Michigan over the top, Labaron Philon’s 35-point performance, the unprecedented success Nate Oats has achieved at Alabama and what it will take for the Tide to take the next step and win a national title.
