Join Gaia Art Bar’s Ana Estrada and Anna Misrasi discussing mystical approaches to art making. An immigrant from Russia, Anna believes that her paintings choose her, and serve to transmute suffering and challenging emotions there are no words for.
”I do not obey the canvas. I make it spin. My paintings have no fixed position; they flip, transform, and open new worlds with every glance. In one moment you see flowers, in the next you are drifting through a galaxy, and then suddenly you recognize emotions you have never spoken aloud. I create spaces where imagination is gently caught, where there are no rules, only the play of light, color, and your own heart. There are no mere viewers here, only co-authors; when you look, you become part of the painting. Each work is available for purchase, yet in truth, they seem to choose their owner.”

Based in Sandy, Utah, Anna Misrasi creates paintings and photographs that transform ordinary moments into emotional, dreamlike experiences.
